About Us

Meet Our Experienced Doctor

Dr. Daniela Cadavid was born and raised in Medellin, Colombia, where she started her dental career. She comes from a long line of family dentists, and decided to continue with the tradition. After graduating as a dentist in 2010, she worked in a private practice in Medellin. During this time, she also completed a research project with Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where she met her now husband Dr. John Feusier, an orthodontist in Santa Barbara.

After deciding to move to America, she was accepted into the international program at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, one of the top programs in the world, where she then completed another two years of post-graduate training.

Dr. Cadavid received her doctorate of dental surgery degree in 2016, with honors, and was accepted into the Tau Kappa Omega Society for dental academic excellence. After extensive training both in Colombia and in America, Dr. Cadavid has expertise in wide variety of dental procedures including cosmetic dentistry, crowns, veneers, implant restorations, extractions, Invisalign, and composite restorations. She is fluent in English and Spanish and has experience treating patients of all ages, focusing on the patient as an individual, with each patient’s unique needs and goals being at the forefront of each treatment plan.

Dr. Cadavid has been working as an associate dentist in private practice since she moved to Santa Barbara in 2016. After having her daughter in 2021, she decided that she wanted to spread her wings and provide more personalized care to her patients. Dr. Cadavid feels like there is a big need for Spanish-speaking doctors in the community, and she wants to give the LatinX community an equal opportunity to speak to the doctor in their native language. She provides top-tier treatment to patients of all ethnic backgrounds.

She lives with her husband John, her daughter, and their dog Cali. She enjoys being outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, and working out. She also knows the importance of a work-life balance and she wants to reflect that in her practice. Lastly, Dr. Cadavid is also a board member of a non-profit organization Rooted Santa Barbara County, which is a collaborative hub promoting the importance of healthy food choices in overall health.

Meet Our Dental Assistants

Hi there! My name is Karen. I am one of the Dental Assistants here at Aloe Dental Wellness. I am bilingual in both English and Spanish. One of the many goals I have as an assistant is to help all of our patients feel comfortable and welcomed. I also strive for our patients to leave our office with a great experience and a smile on their faces. My favorite part of being a Dental Assistant is being able to work alongside Dr. Cadavid as we do many different procedures throughout the day. Outside of the office I like to digitally draw, sew clothing, do volunteer work, and spend time with my friends and family.
